Be careful on your commute home tonight, especially if you are travelling along the A38 heading into Burton from Lichfield. Traffic is backing up along this stretch of road.
A dark blue Volkswagen Transporter van trailing a caravan had broken down earlier this afternoon and was seen being loaded on to the back of a recovery vehicle.
Staffordshire Police are currently working at the scene as they attempt to get traffic moving.
Elsewhere in the area, drivers are preparing themselves for a weekend without part of the A50 as it closes tomorrow night, Friday at 8pm and will reopen at 5.30am on Monday.
Traffic at the Little Chef roundabout will be diverted to turn right onto the B5030 and through town to Stafford Road.
Vehicles will then follow the A51 and A34 towards Stoke-on-Trent, before joining the A500 and then the A50 to Blythe Bridge.
