A woman from Derbyshire has been recognised as one of the best building site managers in the country. Zoe Rawlings from David Wilson Homes was given a Pride in the Job Quality award from the National House Building Council to recognise the best run sites in the country – one of the highest accolades in the industry.

Zoe, who is based at Drakelow Park, in Drakelow, said: “It’s amazing to have been given a Quality award and I’m so proud of all of my team.

"I am so pleased by everyone’s hard work at Drakelow Park, it really is a group effort and I can’t thank them all enough for their dedication to the site. This is my first Pride in the Job award and it’s fantastic to have been recognised for my work.”

The 36-year-old joined David Wilson Homes East Midlands 12 years ago as an assistant site manager and worked her way up to being a site manager after four years with the division.

Zoe has been at Drakelow Park, which is situated in Walton Road, for two years now and is responsible for the day to day running of the site.

She is one of eight site managers within the division, which is based in Leicestershire, to win an award.

Managing director, John Reddington said: “We would like to congratulate our site manager Zoe on her success and thank her for her continued commitment to Drakelow Park.

“We are delighted to yet again win more Pride of the Job Quality awards than any other housebuilder as it demonstrates the high standards that we demand as a company.

“More importantly though, the awards showcase excellence in housebuilding; homeowners who buy a Pride in the Job winning home benefit from knowing they have bought a top quality product.”
