Burton Albion's 3-2 victory against Oldham Athletic last night saw them sail into the Carabao Cup second-round draw.

That draw takes place tonight, after the clash between Sunderland and Bury at Gigg Lane. If there is no extra time in that clash, it should commence at around 9:45pm on Sky Sports following that televised clash.

The second round of matches will be scheduled throughout the week starting August 21.

The next round of the competition will also see the Premier League teams not involved in European football enter.

While Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Manchester City, Tottenham and Manchester United are all out until the third round due to their European commitments, the likes of Leicester City, West Ham United and Crystal Palace will be among the names in the hat tonight.

A new seeding structure has been introduced for the Carabao Cup this season, with clubs either being unseeded or seeded.

In the draw, all unseeded teams will play teams who are seeded meaning Burton - unseeded in the second round - will play one of the seeded sides - a group that includes all 13 of the Premier League sides coming in at this stage.
