Burton Albion midfielder Joe Sbarra is reportedly being tracked by Southampton, according to the Sunday People via HITC Sport.

The report is claiming that Saints have been tracking the Brewers' 18-year-old midfielder after Albion boss Nigel Clough gave him his first-team debut against Reading on the final day of last season.

Unsurprisingly, the young Sbarra is now being linked with the likes of the Premier League Saints after notching his first goal of the season against Matlock last Saturday - latching onto Marcus Dinanga's through ball and following up his own rebound after his first shot was saved.

He's had a good run in pre-season, and impressed against West Bromwich Albion last Tuesday after coming on as a second-half substitute.

Sbarra signed his first professional contract last October, with that deal due to expire next June.
