Burton Albion first-team squad members Tom Naylor, Matt Palmer, Ben Fox and Damien McCrory are all expected to get some minutes under their belt as the Brewers head to Arnold Town tonight (7:30pm kick-off).

Those players will be part of a squad that will also include a host of academy youngsters, as Albion boss Nigel Clough looks to get as many players up to full fitness ahead of the season opener on August 5 against Cardiff City.

The Brewers travel to Eagle Valley to take on East Midlands Counties side Arnold on the back of last night's 1-0 defeat to West Bromwich Albion.

Burton's starting line-up against West Brom involved all six of the Brewers' new summer signings.

Fox, Palmer and McCrory were all introduced in the second-half, and tasked with overcoming a strong West Brom side that included the likes of former Manchester United players Ben Foster and Jonny Evans.

Arnold present a different challenge, and one that the Brewers will be familiar with having lost 4-1 to fellow non-league side Rocester on Monday night.

After tonight's match, there will be only two friendlies left - both against league opposition - with Shrewsbury Town hosting Albion on Saturday, before Leicester City's trip to the Pirelli Stadium on Tuesday evening.
