Derby County manager Gary Rowett has confirmed that forward Tom Lawrence will make his first league start for the Rams in tonight's match against Hull City at Pride Park.

The 23-year-old signed for an initial £5 million from Leicester City last month, and former Burton Albion boss Rowett has decided that it is time for the Wales international to make his full debut for Derby.

"Tom will start, as simple as that," said Rowett ahead of tonight's clash.

"I don't think I am giving the opposition any great benefit by saying that."

Leeds United new-boy Pierre-Michel Lassoga was heavily linked with Aston Villa during the closing stages of last month's transfer window, according to the Yorkshire Post .

Lassoga - who's impending arrival of his first child isn't stopping him from making himself available against Burton this weekend - joined the Whites from Hamburg on a season-long loan last Thursday.

And the 25-year-old, a former Germany under-21 international, has spoken of his 'dream' to play in the Premier League after he was drafted in on deadline-day to replace the departed Chris Wood.

"It's been a dream since I was a small boy to play in England and also in the Premier League. Maybe we’ll get the chance to go up into the Premier League and then we'll see what happens next year with me," he said.
