Burton Albion head north to Boundary Park tonight in their first taste of Carabao Cup action against Oldham Athletic, and we'll have live match action and reaction to tonight's knockout clash (7:45pm).

As fate would have it, Albion's new goalkeeper Connor Ripley is set to make his first appearance in a Brewers shirt against the side whose clean sheet record (19) he equalled while on loan from Middlesbrough last term.

Nigel Clough's side have been busy in the market this week, with Ripley's signature followed by defender Tom Flanagan's surprise return to the Pirelli Stadum earlier this afternoon.

In a move that came completely out of the blue, Flanagan now looks set for a return to that right-back berth he has been used to since signing from MK Dons two years ago.

Could Tom Flanagan's return in a Brewers shirt come as soon as tonight?

But despite a busy week in the Pirelli's negotiating room, there is still a match to be played, and we will bring you every kick of tonight's first-round Carabao Cup match, as well as all the reaction.
