Derby County have completed a deal for forward Nick Blackman to join Israeli side Maccabi Tel Aviv on a season-long loan.

Blackman joined the Rams on a three-and-a-half year deal from Reading in January 2016 for around £3.5m, and now links up with Maccabi boss Jordi Cryuff - son of former Barcelona legend Johan.

Former Blackburn Rovers man Blackman has struggled to make a telling impact during his time with the Rams, suffering from various injuries that have hampered his chances at holding down a regular spot.

"I know Maccabi is a club with great history and fantastic players and a fantastic coach," said Blackman.

"I have been in touch with Jordi for the past three or four years and I am looking forward to working for him."

Swansea City have had a £12m bid rejected for Hull City midfielder Sam Clucas, according to TalkSport.

The Swans are looking to bolster their midfield ranks following the departure of Gylfi Sigurdsson to Everton earlier this week for a club-record fee.

Clucas has not been short of admirers since helping Hull to Championship promotion after joining from Chesterfield in 2015 - and Swans boss Paul Clement is keen to bring him to the Liberty Stadium.

The Tigers, however, will hope to keep the 26-year-old from joining the exodus of key players at Hull this summer.

The likes of Tom Huddlestone, Curtis Davies, Eldin Jakupovic, Andy Robertson and Harry Maguire have all departed the KCOM Stadium this summer.
