Derby County left it late to complete their transfer deadline day deals, with Maikel Kieftenbeld joining from Birmingham City and Sam Winnall arriving on-loan from Sheffield Wednesday.

Butterfield heads to Hillsbrough as part of the deal that saw Winnall come to Pride Park - with both players agreeing season-long loans away from their respective clubs.

Rowett is reunited with Kieftenbeld - who he signed for the Blues during his time in charge at St Andrew's, and as a result Craig Bryson has joined Cardiff City on loan with a view to the deal being made permanent in January.

Birmingham City have signed Everton youngster Liam Walsh on loan until January.

The 19 year-old became Harry Redknapp’s 14th summer signing of a busy window and will strengthen Blues' central midfield options, and chipped in with six goals last term as David Unsworth's Everton under-23's side secured the Premier League 2 title.

His arrival came shortly after the £6 million capture of Brentford midfielder Jota, as Redknapp looks to mount a promotion push following his survival exploits with the Blues towards the end of last season.
