Ex-Burton Albion goalkeeper Adam Legzdins has secured a move to Premier League Burnley on a three-year deal.

Legzdins - who spent two spells at the Pirelli Stadium , including making 46 League Two appearances in 2010/11 - has joined the Clarets for an undisclosed fee from Birmingham City.

Burnley had been looking for a new keeper to back up first choice Tom Heaton following the retirement of ex-England international Paul Robinson at the end of last season.

And Legzdins has become that option.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper - beaten in both clashes with former side Albion last season when in between the sticks for Birmingham - would have faced stiff competition for a place in Harry Redknapp's new-look Blues side, with Tomasz Kuszczak having been favoured over him last term and David Stockdale since arriving from promoted Brighton & Hove Albion over the summer.

Birmingham did take up the one-year option is his contract earlier this year, Sean Dyche's Clarets have now moved to add him to their squad ahead of the Premier League kick off at the weekend.

The Brewers have recently filled a goalkeeping vacancy at the Pirelli, with Middlesbrough keeper Connor Ripley joining on a season-long loan to compete with incumbent Stephen Bywater and Harry Campbell.
