Manchester City are set to complete the double swoop of Kyle Walker and Benjamin Mendy for an eye-watering £90 million, according to the Mirror .

City boss Pep Guardiola missed out on right-back Dani Alves after he opted to join PSG instead of City yesterday, and Guardiola has opted for Walker in his pursuit of a right-back.

Walker will join for an initial £45 million, while Mendy will arrive at City from Monaco for around £40 million.

Walker's addition will be welcomed by Guardiola and City bosses, with full-backs Gael Clichy, Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna all released by the club this summer.

Swansea City have reportedly rejected a bid of around £40 million for Gylfi Sigurdsson, according to The Guardian .

The Swans reportedly value the Icelandic international at around £50 million, and further negotiations are expected to take place that will likely end up with the attacker's departure from the Liberty Stadium.

Sigurdsson hasn't travelled with the Swans to their pre-season tour of the United States, and reportedly let officials at the club know he didn't plan on travelling with them 45 minutes before their departure.

Everton look an increasingly likely bet for the midfielder's next destination, and have already spent close to £100m so far in recruiting Wayne Rooney, Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen, Michael Keane and Sandro Ramírez.

German duo Chris Lowe and Elias Kachunga have boosted newly-promoted Huddersfield Town by signing new contracts with Yorkshire club.

Both players have signed improved deals that will see their contracts with the Terriers run until June 30 2020.
