They have become the drinks of the decade and for those who love both Prosecco AND gin - you're in for a treat this summer.

The experts at Gordon's have created a new sweet pink gin and they say it mixes perfectly with everyone's favourite Italian fizz.

Inspired by an original Gordon’s recipe from the 1880s, today, Gordon’s is the world’s number one best-selling gin and has been awarded four Royal Warrants and an impressive selection of international gin prizes.

The distiller has teamed up with supermarket giant Tesco to create the limited edition pink gin, which is available now in the store priced £13.

The "premium pink distilled gin" will likely be making an appearance in bars across Burton, Uttoxeter and South Derbyshire, as the sweeter taste mixes perfectly to create a delightful summer beverage.

According to the makers, the new drink is said to be 'crafted to balance the refreshing taste of Gordon's with the sweetness of raspberries and strawberries with the tang of redcurrant'.

Not sure how to blend the perfect Prosecco/gin mix? Tesco has given a helpful recipe to get your cocktail just right. A Gordon's Pink Spritz, as it's now known, consists of two parts Gordon's pink, two parts lemonade, and one part Prosecco.

If you want to go the extra mile, garnish with fresh strawberries and raspberries and serve in a large wine glass.
