Supermarket giant Iceland, which has stores in Burton, Uttoxeter and Swadlincote, has upped its game in the battle for the best meal deal. However, there's a twist – almost everything in it is from Pizza Express.

You could bag yourself a perfect Saturday night in meal this weekend – picking up two large Pizza Express pizzas, a tub of Pizza Express ice cream and a big bottle of Pepsi for a bargain price of just £5.

The feast hit the shelves on Wednesday, August 20, with an Iceland insider spilling the beans on deals forum HotUKDeals.

Iceland's bundle deal lets you enjoy a Pizza Express without the restaurant price tag, even if they are missing Pizza Express's classic garlic doughballs.

While Iceland's offer will save you £3.50, when our sister title The Mirror compared the deal to its competitors,it found that you could get almost exactly the same offer – bar the big brand names – for exactly the same amount.

At Tesco, which has a store near St Peter's Bridge, in Burton, foodies can get Goodfellas pizzas for £1 each, a 1.5-litre bottle of Pepsi Max for £1, and tubs of Tesco ice-cream, which comes in luxury flavours such as cookies and cream, and red velvet for £2.

Meanwhile at Asda, which has a store in Orchard Street, Burton, you can grab Asda Extra Special pizzas for £1.50 each, a tub of Extra Special ice cream for £2 and a 1.25 litre bottle of coca-cola for £1.
