A band coming to Burton is hoping to play to a full crowd to raise money for Operation Christmas Child. Paying tribute to Cliff Richard and The Shows, Cliff and The Shadtones will be returning to Stretton as part of a fund-raising mission for the Salvation Army's annual appeal.
Operation Christmas Child raises money to buy toys to fill shoeboxes which are given to children in need across the globe who may otherwise go without gifts at Christmas.
Clive Lawton of Burton's Operation Christmas Child, said: "Proceeds from the concert will fill more boxes to be sent to children throughout the world with love, hope and the message that someone cares."
The event will start at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 9, at the Priory Centre, in Church Road, Stretton.
