After playing sets full of emerging classics and old favourites at the Reading and Leeds Festivals, Liam Gallagher has announced the first arena tour of his solo career.

Representing his first tour following the release of his debut solo album As You Were on Oceboer 6, the news comes as Liam is back at the height of his powers.

His return has been nothing short of spectacular, from emotive scenes in Manchester to huge sing-a-longs at Glastonbury, while three new tracks – Wall of Glass, Chinatown and For What It's Worth – are already establishing themselves as towering anthems, delivered with Liam's once-in-a-lifetime vocal.

Fans who pre-order any format of Liam's debut album As You Were from his official site here will receive instant downloads of Wall of Glass , Chinatown and For What It’s Worth .

The album will be released on digital (standard and deluxe), CD (standard and deluxe) and vinyl (standard 12-inch and limited edition coloured 12-inch formats) formats. A special boxset is also available which compiles a coloured 12-inch vinyl of the album, an exclusive seven-inch format of For What It's Worth, a print designed by Klaus Voorman (the artist behind The Beatles' Revolver album cover) and additional collectors' items.

Tickets for the Arena Birmingham date on December 12 are on general sale from 10am on 8 September via www.ticketmaster.co.uk or by calling 0844 33 88 222 *Calls cost 7p per minute plus your phone company's access charge. Liam wrote or co-wrote every song which features on As You Were. In addition to Dan Grech-Marguerat, other key collaborators include Greg Kurstin and Andrew Wyatt. One of the most striking aspects of the album is that all the songs have a purpose. There's no flab, nothing to cut. They all feel directed at something or someone, setting the record straight or getting his side of the story over.
