A well-loved Uttoxeter gift shop that has seen business boom in the last six years is moving to a "bigger and better" premises.
Daisy Chain has outgrown its Carter Street home and will be opening its new Market Place store on Wednesday, August 30.
The new store, based at the old Carter's Pharmacy building, is significantly larger than the cottage unit the firm had occupied since opening in 2011.
Owner of Daisy Chain Clair Atherton said: "It has been a really busy time arranging the renovations and planning for the new shop and now I just can’t wait to get in.
"We still have local people coming into the shop who didn’t realise we were there so it will be great to be in a much more prominent position in the town. Also, with the town growing, it can only be a positive move to help improve the High Street experience.
"We will be stocking a much larger range of greetings cards, handbags and ladies accessories including ponchos, hats and gloves. We have a brand new range of gift wrap and gorgeous new ranges of sterling silver jewellery and gifts from Sophie Allport.
"It has been lovely to have such a positive response from our customers who have all been very supportive and encouraging about the move. Our final day of trading on Carter Street was Saturday, August 26."
We reported on Daisy Chain when it celebrated its fifth anniversary last year and to celebrate the store had balloons and a birthday banner outside and offered special deals on products.
Ms Atherton said: "The time has flown by but I have really enjoyed working in the town and am delighted to have reached this milestone.
"When I started the business I had no idea if it would be successful or not but was pleasantly surprised by the support I received from the local community and I am pleased to say that the business has gone from strength to strength."
Ms Atherton and her team have gained a loyal customer base down the years and "enjoy getting to know their customers", some of whom have now "become friends".
Ms Atherton said: "The staff are always on hand to help customers choose that special gift they are looking for, particularly those hard to buy for people."
The business has built up an an ever-growing directory of brands, including East of India, Jellycat, Joma Jewellery, Hultquist Jewellery, Sophie Allport and Disaster Designs.
It is "constantly looking for new ranges and products" and Ms Atherton says visiting trade shows is one of her favourite parts of the job.
Jewellery, scarves and the Jellycat range of soft toys continue to be Daisy Chain's best-selling ranges.
It has recently introduced a new range of handbags and accessories called Katie Loxton which has been "very popular".
