The annual charity tea party at Stretton's Priory Centre is returning this weekend.

It will be held on Saturday, August 5, kicking off from 1am. The event will run throughout the afternoon until about 4am.

Admission will cost £2.50 and will include tea or coffee, as well as a slice of cake with the entrance price.

A tombola and a raffle will be held to further swell funds. Councillor Simon Gaskin, the Mayor of East Staffordshire will be visiting to help the cause and eat a bit of cake, say organisers.

Organisers and residents from the small East Staffordshire village will be coming together to raise money for the Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.

The rainbow trust looks to support families who have children up to the age of 18 with life threatening or terminal illnesses and need specialist support.
