A rockin’ band from New Jersey will be performing at a Derbyshire music venue this weekend. Lead guitarist Billy Walton has been a professional artist since he was 15, playing in countless gigs in both the United States and Europe and is stopping by the city as part of a short tour.

He has also been the lead guitarist/vocalist for bands such as The Bad Boys and Boccigalupe, who are Bruce Springsteen and Little Steven Van Zandt contemporaries.

Fifteen years on, Billy is making his own way, stepping out with his own Billy Walton Band to tour the UK.

He is an explosive performer and together with bassist William Paris, drummer Marcus Croan and an awesome horn section, the Billy Walton Band churns out an individual style of funky blues.

The band has been championed by Roger Mayer, the well-known British guitar effects guru who gave none other than Jimmy Hendrix his Guitar sound. The Billy Walton Band is everything you would want in a powerhouse rock/blues band.

The event is taking place at 8pm on Saturday, July 15, at The Flowerpot, in King Street, Derby, and tickets cost £13.
