The world's longest inflatable obstacle course is heading to Uttoxeter this summer. One kilometre long, the Labyrinth Challenge is a continuous bouncy route with dozens of obstacles including balance beams, hurdles and jumps. There are also giant balls for participants to leap on.

The Labyrinth Challenge will be at Uttoxeter Racecourse during the first weekend in September.

Designed for grown-ups and children aged 12 and over, the obstacle course is made up of five different areas, themed around lava, the jungle, combat and the ocean. Interestingly, there is also a toxic zone.

The course begins with a 20ft leap onto a crash bag and ends with a slide down a giant inflatable ship.

For the less adventurous and for under 12s, Uttoxeter Racecourse will also have an Inflatable Village with a mini-Labyrinth Challenge. Other fun activities and games will include bungee trampolines, laser tag and land zorbs, large inflatable balls in which people can roll around. There will also be a soft-play area and refreshments.

Hollie White, event sales and marketing co-ordinator at Uttoxeter Racecourse, said: "There has never been anything like the Labyrinth Challenge at Uttoxeter Racecourse before and it looks amazing.

"There has already been lots of interest on social media already and it is really exciting."

The Labyrinth Challenge will be open from 10am to 6pm from Friday, September 1, to Sunday, September 3. On the Friday, the course will be exclusively available to hire for groups of between 50 and 2,000 people.

Dan Byrne, Tour Director for The Labyrinth Challenge said: "The Labyrinth Challenge has been really popular with people since we unveiled it last month and we're thrilled to be bringing the course to Uttoxeter.

"Participants can race each other and make their way through the course in the quickest time or go at a more leisurely pace.

"It really is a fun family day out with the inflatable village extending the excitement with land zorbs, laser tag, bouncy castles and a soft play area, along with bars and food stalls."

Tickets to the Labyrinth Challenge start from £15. Tickets to the Inflatable Village are priced at £20. Tickets for both attractions cost £27. Depending on demand, tickets may also be available at the venue on the day.
