An accident is causing queuing traffic on the A38 this evening, Wednesday, August 2. The incident involving two cars happened on the A38 southbound after Wood End Lane at Hillards Cross and Fradley Park turn off.
There is congestion up to the A513 at Alrewas and the Tamworth turn off, says traffic information website Inrix.
The accident is causing delays of 20 minutes. It is not yet known if anyone is hurt.
Inrix reports that the road is partially blocked while both cars await recovery.
Elsewhere on the roads, there are very slow delays due to temporary traffic lights between Winshill and Burton.
More temporary traffic lights are also causing delays for commuters between Guild Street and Union Street. The traffic lights are expected to stay for another week while gas works take place.
