The A50 eastbound has reopened after being shut all night due to a fatal accident involving a lorry and two cars.
The incident took place between Junction 4 near Toyota Island and Junction 3 near Swarkestone Road.
Police have confirmed that one person has died as a result of the crash.

Another driver taken to hospital after A50 crash
It is believed that another driver has been taken to hospital following the fatal collision on the A50.
The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.
Traffic flowing well after re-opening
According to Traffic England, the traffic on the A50 eastbound is moving well despite only being re-opened 30 minutes ago.
Witness says he saw about '10 police cars' on the A50
Ryan Brown messaged us on Twitter at 9.30pm last night to say this:
He said: “There’s been a crash on the a50 east bound. Just after Toyota island. Stand still traffic. About 10 police cars. 2/3 ambulances and a fire engine on site. Stand still traffic”.
Fatality after A50 crash
A Derbyshire police spokesperson has confirmed a person has died after the crash on the A50.
They said they expect the road to open very shortly.
Highways England release statement
A Highways England spokesperson said: “The A50 is closed eastbound between the A38 (Junction 4) Findern and the A514 (Junction 3) near Chellaston due to a serious incident with a response being led by Derbyshire Police.
“Road users should allow some extra time for your journey”.
Diversion route in place
A diversion is in place for drivers wanting to get down the A50 towards the M1 this morning.
Highways England advise motorists to follow the A38 northbound from Junction 4 to Kingsway Roundabout, before continuing along Kingsway towards Derby and heading onto the Derby Ring Road (A5111).
They should travel down that road to the Raynesway Interchange (A6) before continuing southbound to rejoin the A50 at Junction 2.
