A rearranged date has been set for the Burton Addiction Centre ball after it was postponed due to "unforeseen circumstances".

Originally due to take place at the beginning of April, organisers confirmed it had to be delayed at the end of March.

The black tie event will now be held on Saturday, September 22, at the Pirelli Stadium, home of Burton Albion football club in Princess Way, Burton.

A five-course dinner will be served at the evening of comedy, music and dancing. There will be entertainment from former host of top TV game shows Generation Game and Big Break, Jim Davidson.

Celebrity auctioneer, Charles Hanson who is well known for appearances on Antiques Road Trip, Flog It! and Bargain Hunt will be hosting a charity auction.

There will be live music from soul and Motown band Masterpiece - The Sounds of the Temptations.

All proceedings from event will go to the O'Connor Gateway Charitable Trust , which aims to facilitate individuals who have undergone rehabilitation from drug or alcohol.

They aim to help the transition back into the community by giving them crucial life skills.

Tickets already purchased for the original date will be honoured and any extra are available for £50.

The dress code is black tie, with the evening starting at 7pm and ending at 12.30am.
