Reports of an accident on the A511

An accident has been reported on the A511 in Winshill.

The incident is being reported as being near to the Waterloo Inn, in Ashby Road, Winshill, traffic and travel information website Inrix has reported.

There is slow traffic being reported.

Yellow weather warning for wind in Burton

A yellow weather warning for wind has been issued across Burton and South Derbyshire.

Today, it will be mild and dry, but the wind will arrive in the afternoon, bringing gusts of up to 60mph.

Temperatures could reach 15C in the day and it will stay mild through the night with lows of 6C.

The wind will continue into tomorrow morning, but it will not be as strong as today. It will also feel much colder than in recent days, with highs of 11C.

Morning traffic

Slow traffic has been reported on the A453 at junction 24 of the M1 near to East Midlands Airport due to a traffic light failure.

Motorists have reported that none of the lights in the area are working, causing people to approach the area much slower.
