A man has been found guilty of assaulting a woman and breaching a non-molestation order imposed to keep him away from her.

He was among the latest people to have their cases dealt with at Cannock Magistrates' Court:

Assault case

A man has been found guilty of assault. Ionel-petru Fichtel, 57, of Jeque Place, Burton, has been found guilty of assaulting a woman n Burton on April 19. He was also found guilty of breaching a non-molestation order by coming within 20 metres of the same woman on April 19, and phoning her on March 29.
He has been made the subject of a 12-month community order including 200 hours unpaid work, and will have to abide by a restraining order. He was also ordered to pay £740 court costs and a £60 victim surcharge.

Charity shop damage

A man has admitted damaging a charity shop. Andrew Smith, 45, of Wetmore Road, Burton, admitted entering the YMCA shop, in Borough Road, Burton, as a trespasser with intent to damage the building.
He has been jailed for 10 He was recalled. There was a significant amount of damage caused, the court was told.
He was ordered to pay £500 compensation and a £115 victim surcharge.

Driving offences

A man admitted two driving offences. James Howard, 21, of Beaconsfield Road, Burton, admitted using a Ford Fiesta without insurance or a MoT certificate, in Horninglow Road, Burton, on January 9.
He has been fined £586, with £85 court costs and a £44 victim surcharge. His driving licence was endorsed with eight points but no totting disqualification was imposed due to the significant hardship it would cause as he would lose his job, the court decided.

Breach of order

A woman has admitted resisting two police officers. Claire Broome, 35, of Rosliston Road, Stapenhill, indicated a plea of guilty to breaching a restraining order by entering South Broadway Street, in Burton, on July 4. She also admitted resisting two police officers and breaching a suspended prison sentence.
She has been jailed for 16 weeks because the offence was committed during her suspended sentence period. She has also been ordered to pay £115 victim surcharge.

Licence offence

A man was caught driving without the correct licence. It was proved via the single justice procedure that Marius Orlovas, 33, of Broadway Street, Burton, drove a Volvo in Queen Street, Burton, on January, otherwise than in accordance with a licence.
He has been fined £75 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £30 victim surcharge. His licence was endorsed with three points.

Insurance case

A man was caught driving without the correct licence. It was proved via the single justice procedure that Mohammed Ishaq, 41, of South Oak Street, Burton, drove a Vauxhall Corsa in South Oak Street, Burton, on December 28, otherwise than in accordance with a licence and without insurance.
He has been fined £780 and ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £66 victim surcharge. He was banned from driving for six months.
