A 26-year-old man has been banned from the roads again after he was caught driving while disqualified.

Magistrates were told Mateusz Grzedzinski, of Bearwood Hill Road, Winshill, was also 'in drink' when he was pulled over in Horninglow Street.

It later transpired he had only just been handed a driving ban before deciding to get back in his car again.

Grzedzinski appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court to admit driving a Honda Accord in Horninglow Street, Burton, on April 6, while banned from driving and without insurance.

He also admitted failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis in Burton at the same time.

He has been made the subject of a 12-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months because he was driving while banned and in drink and the offences were committed not long after his original disqualification.

He will carry out 180 hours unpaid work and was ordered to pay £85 court costs and a £115 victim surcharge. He was banned from driving for 36 months.
