A fisherman has had the shock of his life after capturing what he believes to be a ghost on camera - completely by accident.

Clive Lloyd’s fishing trip took a chilling turn when he spotted an apparition across the riverbank.

Mr Lloyd was on a fishing trip on the River Trent near Branston Golf Course when he decided to take several snaps of his surroundings.

The two photos which can be seen were taken just seconds apart but are distinctly different.

Did you spot the ghost?

The first photo, he admitted, was slightly fuzzy, but the second photo was of a better quality. However, eagle-eyed Mr Lloyd spotted something very spooky about this last photograph – a ghostly white figure appearing suddenly over the river.

He said: “(These are a) couple of pictures I took on Wednesday, July 26, while fishing on the River Trent near Branston Golf Course. They were taken only seconds apart as the first image was not to my liking.

As you can see the top one looks a little fuzzy, the bottom one, however, is okay. It even comes with a ghostly figure standing over near the far bank. Spooky.”

He later said: "I was taking the photos for an angling site called Burton on Trent Match Fishing. I had looked at the screen of my phone when I took a photo and because the air was damp it went a bit misty, so I took it again. I didn't realise what I had taken a photo of until I got home."

It is up to you to make up your own mind about Mr Lloyd's picture, maybe it actually is a ghostly figure, or pehaps just some strange photographic phenomenon.
