Lovers of everything barbecue are in for a treat in Burton this weekend as world class barbecue meat and chefs come to town.
The National Brewery Centre, in Horninglow Street is hosting the Champions League of BBQ 2018 event
Described as one of the largest competitive barbecue events in the United Kingdom, this is not one to be missed and is the second time it has been held at the Burton tourist spot.
This is not one for amateurs, as more than 30 teams taking part have had to win a sanctioned event in 2017 in order to quality, with competitors jetting in from all across the globe to show off their skills on the barbecue.
Taking place on Saturday and Sunday, May 26 and 27, teams of between two and six people from America, Europe and more will be involved.
The teams will cook four different meats which will then be judged, with the winners crowned 'champion of champions'.
Better yet, any barbecue-lovers can buy a ticket to watch it all unfold, and even try the high quality meat when judging is finished.
The four meats will be pork shoulder, brisket, chicken and ribs.
Away from the meat, there will also be trade and food stalls open throughout the day, with live demonstrations, music and children's crafts all on offer.
Those paying for entry will also be able to view the brewery centre's historic museum as well.
A spokesman from the National Brewery Centre said: "Join us for one of the United Kingdom's largest competitive barbecue events.
"This truly is a chance to indulge in some of the very best barbecue in the world so book your tickets now."
The barbecue event will run on Saturday and Sunday, May 26 and 27, from noon until 6pm both days.
