A 35-year-old man has been charged with a string of alleged burglaries across Burton and South Derbyshire.

Christopher Fletcher, of no fixed address, has appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court facing a series of burglary and intent to steal charges.

He is charged with:

Theft of cash from Burton Golf Club on January 22;

Theft of bicycles from an address in Burton Road, Castle Gresley, between January 26 and February 26;

Entering Grangewood Fencing Supplies, in Mount Road, Castle Gresley, on February 9, with intent to steal;

Theft of a till and charity boxes from an address in Midland Road, Swadlincote, on February 17;

Burglary at The Delph Centre, in Market Street, Swadlincote, on February 19;

Entering an address in High Street, Swadlincote, on February 19, with intent to steal;

Theft of £300 cash from Shortwoods, in Linton Heath, Linton, on March 4;

Intent to steal from Shortwoods, in Linton Heath, Linton on March 4;

Theft of three trainers and a display case from Shortwoods, in Linton Heath, Linton, between June 8 and 11.

Burglary at Toons Furnisher, in Burton Road, Castle Gresley, on June 11.

He is now due to attend Derby Crown Court on July 11 and has been remanded into custody until that date.
