Motorists caught in tailbacks after a crash between a tractor and a Ford Fiesta on the A444 today, Thursday, August 3.

Officers from Derbyshire Constabulary were called to reports of a collision between two vehicles on Stanton Road at around 2pm this afternoon. The force has confirmed that nobody was seriously hurt in the incident.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, but has since been re-opened. At least one of the vehicles involved has now been removed from the road.

Traffic was still struggling around the area anyway due to temporary traffic lights at Violet Way, while roadworks are being carried out. Road users are urged to avoid the area if possible.
