A reunion for members of a well-known former social club next to the former home of Burton Albion raised £800 to help a cancer charity.

The get-together, for past members of Eton Park Social Club, was held at Stretton Club, in Beech Lane, on Friday, October 20, to raise funds for the Burton Prostate Cancer Support Group.

Organiser Anthony Webster said: "It was a great evening and the sum of £800 was raised. Special thanks go to the bands Past Hits at Stretton Club and Urban Designs and also to Tracey Payne for her work on the night and all who donated raffle prizes."

Eton Park Social Club reunion

Eton Park was home to Burton Albion until the Brewers' move to the Pirelli Stadium in 2005 on the site of the tyre giant’s Sports and Social Club. The Eton Park social club was knocked down to pave the way for a housing development.
