An ITV home improvement show is looking for participants from Burton who know someone whose home needs a bit of love.

The show, 60 Minute Makeover, which is presented by television personality, Peter Andre is coming back to our screens for the first time since 2014 and is now looking for new participants.

The show revolves around sending away residents from their family home for around an hour, in which time Peter and his team descend on the house to give up to three rooms a much needed makeover.

In an appeal to get people to come forward, a spokesman from the show has explained that they want people to be nominated who have given up the time they would spend on their home due to other commitments in life.

The spokesman said: “The lucky individual, we feel, must have served their community by way of helping others or their organisation over and above the call of duty.

"Or perhaps they have tirelessly tended to something and have forgotten to focus on themselves. That’s where we come in.

"Do you want to surprise a friend? Perhaps you know a local hero who deserves a special reward?

"Whether they’re your local lollipop person, or someone who’s always fundraising for your community, we want to hear about them. Get in touch with the casting team to surprise your nominee with a magical home makeover."

The last time that the home development show was on the air was back in 2014, having first began in 2004.

Peter Andre took over the reigns as presenter from Catherine Gee in 2013 and will be back at the helm for new the series, later this year.
