An evening filled with Indian food and entertainment is set to raise money for Burton’s Queen’s Hospital. The Burton Hospitals League of Friends is hosting a fund-raising evening at Apne Indian Cuisine, in Cross Street, Burton, on Monday, September 11.
The evening will included a four-course meal and entertainment as well as a raffle and auction to raise vital funds for the Belvedere Road hospital.
The event costs £20 per person and those interested are urged to book now to avoid disappointment. Bookings and further information is available from Julie Hammond by emailing Julie.email@example.com or calling her on 07517 126935 or 566333 extension 5321.
The Burton Hospitals League of Friends has been raising money for the hospital for more than 35 years, having raised more than £3 million.
It is run by a small group of volunteers who give their time and energy to the hospital and purchase a wide variety of things, such as fresh flowers for the chapel and help desk, televisions, emergency toiletry packs and Christmas decorations as well as larger and more expensive pieces of medical equipment.
This includes the conversion of a store room into a wet room, an ultrasound diagnostic machine and specialist chairs for stroke patients.
