A generous woman from Winshill is looking to gift £300 worth of her own arts and craft kits to a local residential home.

Linda Frohock, 67, has accumulated her collection of arts and crafts over the last 10 years. Since having a clear-out in her home, Mrs Frohock decided she would try to find someone who would “really appreciate” the big basket of goodies.

“I don’t use them any more and I was going to take them to the charity shop but I thought perhaps a care home would be nice,” the retired teacher said.

“I’ve accumulated them over many years of my life and I’ve moved on with many things and they’re just sitting there. I thought it would be a lovely idea to put it all together and give it to a care home. I think they would find it really beneficial for their environment and they can have them with pleasure.”

The goodie basket includes: scrapbooking kits, all kinds of card making paraphernalia, different styles of paper and up to 50 rubber stamps for making cards.

“It’s hard to raise funds sometimes for these little clubs and homes that residents live in and perhaps if they don’t have kits like these, they’d like to have them. It will be good for their mental agility.”

Most of the arts and crafts are new. Any care home interested in taking up this offer should contact Linda on dlfro@mac.com.
