A 57-year-old man is due to stand trial after he was accused of assault at a Swadlincote construction college.

Roger Baker has appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court recently where he denied an assault charge.

He is accused of allegedly assaulting a man at The Chameleon School of Construction, Swadlincote, on September 13, last year.

Baker, of Henwood Road, Wolverhampton, is now due to attend the magistrates' court on October 6 to stand trial.

He answers unconditional bail until the date of his trial.

The Chameleon School of Construction, in Swadlincote, provides courses for its pupils who wish to join the world of construction. These include bricklaying courses.
