Fire crews were scrambled to tackle a blaze at a major Burton brewery yesterday afternoon.

Staffordshire Fire and Rescue were called to Molson Coors brewery at 1.20pm following reports of a fire on the roof.

Firefighters spent just under two hours at the scene and reported that there were no injuries as a result of the incident.

Three crews managed to extinguish the fire and left the High Street brewing giant at around 3.10pm on Saturday, June 23.

No one was injured in the incident, say fire bosses, and the cause of the fire remains unknown.

On social media, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue said: "We have had 3 crews at Coors Brewery in Burton Upon Trent this afternoon dealing with a roof fire. Crews making good progress."
