Shoppers using a leading Burton discount store are being warned about the recall of two Halloween products due to a "potentially safety issue".
According to the Chartered Trading Standards Institute, Poundworld, which has branches in Burton and Swadlincote, is recalling its Children's Hair Raising Mask and its Children's Hair Raising Hands.
The product notice says: "Poundworld has identified a potential safety issue with (these) products. Customer safety and satisfaction are of paramount important to us, therefore we have issued this product recall."
Responding to the question: "What should I do if I have purchased one of these items?", the notice continued: "Please stop using the product immediately and return the item to any Poundworld or Poundworld Plus store – our stores will issue you a refund or exchange.
"If you have purchased this product for anyone else, then please inform him or her of this recall and they can also return the product as above.
"No other Poundworld products are affected by this notice – we apologise sincerely for any inconvenience caused and thank our customers for their cooperation."
No further details have been released about what the potential safety issue may be.
