So this is it, the end of the school summer holidays and children from across Burton, South Derbyshire, Ashby and the surrounding villages will be heading back to their studies.
Make sure you and your children don't get caught out on their first day back to school, risking them being punished for turning up late, or worse, on the wrong day.
The first day back to school after the summer break can be confusing to say the least and it can be difficult to keep track of when children are due back to school. However, we have done the hard work for you and compiled this list.
Children at schools in Ashby have already returned, with those studying at Ashby School, in Range Road, and Ivanhoe College, in North Street, having headed back through the school gates on Tuesday, August 29.
Those two North West Leicestershire schools are by far the earliest to return on our list, with the next being The Pingle Academy, in Coronation Street, in Swadlincote, who will go back to school in stages; Year 7 and 12 will head back at 8.25am on Tuesday, September 5 with the rest joining them at 8.25am on Wednesday, September 6.
