Staffordshire Police have designed their own mobile phone application to help keep Burton people informed about what’s going on in their area.

Staffordshire Smart Alert is now available on most smart phones and can be downloaded from the app store.

After downloading, Staffordshire Police will keep you up-to-date with crime alerts as and when they happen through alerts which will pop up, right on your phone's screen.

The app allows you to modify and personalise which news you receive through to your phone by crime or area, so that you will only get what the information that you want.

Information is freely available on the app about your nearest police station and officers including direct contact numbers and when they are available.
