A 25-year-old man has been ordered to carry out unpaid work after breaching a restraining order.

Thomas Stansby, of Edward Street, Burton, appeared at North Staffordshire Justice Centre to admit breaching a restraining order by sending a woman a Facebook message in Burton on November 21 and April 18.

He also admitted entering two pubs in Burton where the woman works, on March 23 and April 18.

He was made the subject of a 12-month community order with 80 hours unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £135 court costs and a £85 victim surcharge.
