We hope you have enjoyed the lovely summery weather while it has been here because it is about to come to an end as the Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for tomorrow, Thursday, July 6.

For the best part of the last month here in the UK there has been a bit of a mini heatwave, with temperatures souring near to and past the 30C mark. The beginning of July specifically has been warm and dry. Today, Wednesday, July 5, is set to be warm.

But according to the Met Office, Thursday and Friday have a yellow warning with heavy rain expected to hit the region on Thursday and last up to around 6am on Friday.

But we're not on our own as thunderstorms are expected to hit the entire country, pushing north and across southern England until Friday when the weather is expected to dry up. Going into the weekend, fresh weather will come in from the west on Saturday, but Sunday will see the rain return.
