Traffic lights are causing long delays in Burton town centre as gas repair works are carried out – and the lights will be in place for another four days.
Vehicles in Union Street, Guild Street and Station Street are reporting delays as four-way traffic lights were put in place at the crossroads today, Friday, July 14.
Cadent (formerly National Grid Gas Distribution) is carrying out essential gas repair works. The firm says this is to ensure that it continues to provide safe and reliable services.
The traffic lights are set to be in place until July 18.
Cadent is also carrying out similar work in Rosliston Road, Stapenhill, and these lights are expected to be in place until July 21.
Elsewhere on the roads, there are traffic lights in Shobnall Road as South Staffs Water carry out work on the road. These are expected to be in place until July 17.
