Traffic lights are causing long delays in Burton town centre as gas repair works are carried out – and the lights will be in place for another four days.

Vehicles in Union Street, Guild Street and Station Street are reporting delays as four-way traffic lights were put in place at the crossroads today, Friday, July 14.

Cadent (formerly National Grid Gas Distribution) is carrying out essential gas repair works. The firm says this is to ensure that it continues to provide safe and reliable services.

The traffic lights are set to be in place until July 18.
