A 50-year-old woman has admitted being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control which caused injury to another person.
Gillian Ashworth, of Sweet Leys Way, Melbourne, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court to admit being in charge of a dog, namely a Staffordshire bull terrier called Logan, which was so dangerously out of control it injured a person.
The incident happened at an address in Sweet Leys Way, Melbourne, on October 19.
Ashworth had previously denied the charge and the case would have gone to trial. She is due to attend Derby Crown Court on August 15 where she is expected be sentenced and answers unconditional bail until that date.
