Seven hundred jobs are coming to East Staffordshire thanks to trade retailer Screwfix which is building a new distribution centre.
The new 562,000 sq ft building will be situated in Fradley and is due to be completed later this year.
It will be the first to be constructed at Prologis Park Fradley, has been designed to achieve a minimum BREEAM 'very good' accreditation and an EPC 'A' rating.
Alan Sarjant, senior vice president of Prologis, said: "The Screwfix building is starting to take shape and we're really pleased with progress on site.
"We have a long and successful relationship with Screwfix, so we're delighted that we could offer a facility of the right size in the right location to accommodate the next phase of Screwfix's business expansion."
Trade retailer Screwfix, which is part of Kingfisher plc, is expanding its distribution base with the Fradley centre next to the A38 north of Lichfield.
Rosemary Wilkins, director of logistics for Screwfix, said: "We're adding a store a week to our network, so we need to make sure we have a logistics operation in place which can accommodate the needs of our expanding business.
"Fradley is at the heart of the motorway network, which puts us in a perfect location to deliver stock to our store network of more than 500 stores quickly and efficiently to help our busy trade customers get what they want, when they need it from the nearest Screwfix, so they can get back to the job as quickly as possible."

Prologis Park Fradley is a joint venture between Prologis and Wittington Investments (Developments) Limited.
The Screwfix distribution centre is forward funded by a wholly owned subsidiary of Tritax Big Box REIT plc.
