An air ambulance landed in a road in Church Gresley as it responded to a medical emergency.

East Midlands Ambulance Service received a call at 7.49pm, on Wednesday, August 23, that a patient was experiencing a medical emergency at a private address, in Glamorgan Way, Church Gresley.

A spokesman for EMAS told the Burton Mail: "The caller reported that someone was experiencing a medical emergency."

EMAS said it had sent a community first responder, as well as an ambulance car, a crewed ambulance and the air ambulance.

One patient was taken to Burton Queen’s Hospital by land ambulance, and the air ambulance was not required to transport the patient in the end.

It is not been revealed what the medical emergency was.
