A Castle Donington fostering company is holding an open day to provide information to anybody who is interested in finding out more about fostering.
Anchor Foster Care, on Borough Street has been in the Leicestershire town since 2013 and is now inviting more people to consider giving fostering a go.
The day will include free face painting, clay modelling, refreshments, therapeutic head massages and a prize draw for both adults and children to round off the summer holidays.
Davina Stewart, area manager at Anchor said: "Our Castle Donington office co-ordinates a large area of foster carers from Luton up to Nottingham. It supports our local staff and social workers who are based in and around the major cities in the midlands.
"Every week we receive hundreds of referrals from more than 30 local authorities around England asking us to urgently find homes for children, teenagers, young mums or dads with their babies, and often sibling groups of children that need to be placed together in the same family.
"We also need specialist carers for children with disabilities or complex needs. Make the most of your valuable life and professional skills and use your spare bedrooms to give them children the best possible start in life."
The open day at Anchor Castle Donington on Friday, September 1 and will run from 10am until 4pm and is welcome for all of those who are seeking further information about fostering.
Maria Baldy, office co-ordinator for the Anchor centre in Castle Donington has explained to get to the office on the open day, which can be quite confusing: "Finding the Anchor office on Borough Street can be a bit of challenge.
"It’s above HairPort hairdressers on Borough Street, but the entrance is hidden on Church Lane behind the Donington Fish Bar."
