Former TV Ready Steady Cook favourite Antony Worrall Thompson is to take to the stage at this year's Derbyshire Sausage and Cider Music Festival and Country Show.

Held at Catton Hall, near the South Derbyshire village of Walton starting on Friday, June 29 and running through to Sunday, July 1, and the TV chef from the hit cooking show will make a guest appearance.

This year, organisers say there will be "more activities than ever before", with a dedicated outdoor country show, a comedy tent and even a celebrity chef tent with live cooking demonstrations, including.

Also a contestant from top TV show I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here!, Worrall Thompson will be joined by Jean-Christophe Novelli, a French chef who has appeared on Hell's Kitchen, Family Fortunes and Loose Women.

New for 2018, there is a bigger main stage than ever, with tribute acts to George Michael, Bon Jovi and Phil Collins lighting up on the Friday evening.

Then on the Sunday, there will be more tribute acts to Oasis, Take That! and Steps, and finally tributes to Michael Jackson, Kasabian and Lady Gaga.

In between the musical acts, visitors can enjoy a number of unique pieces of entertainment including camel racing, pig racing, a dog and duck show and even motorbike stunts.

The theme of this year's event is clearly 'bigger', as on top of the increased outdoor stage, the campsite is bigger, and the Saturday evening firework spectacle will be more ellaborate.

Camp in style in the new "glamping village", which unites the back to nature fun of camping with the comfort of modern amenities such as power showers, a pamper parlour, unlimited bottled water and phone charging sockets.

The weekend of entertainment will begin at 2pm on the Friday, until 6pm on the Sunday.

Ticket prices vary from £16.86 right up to £128.99 depending on the length of stay and whether you're camping or not.
