A driver has been hurt and the M1 has been closed after a concrete tube fell off a lorry and crushed a car.
Emergency services have descended on the northbound carriageway, between Junction 23A and Junction 24, after the smash, which involved three vehicles.
The fire service said a motorist was being treated at the scene by paramedics.
Highways England are dealing with the incident and, with the help of Leicestershire Police, have closed the northbound side completely for the concrete to be removed.
The complete closure came into force at about 9.20am.

Highways England’s online traffic map shows traffic is moving slowly northbound in the area around East Midlands Airport.
The red line on this map shows where there are still delays following the earlier accident.

The northbound carriageway is now open but it may take a while for the backed-up traffic to get moving.

This is the lorry shed its load during the multi-vehicle collision, which left one man hospitalised.

Man taken to Royal Derby Hospital
The driver, who has not been named, has been taken to Royal Derby Hospital after the three-vehicle smash left one car crushed at around 8.20am this morning.
Concrete tube crushes car
It is now understood that the crash involved three cars and a lorry as a concrete tube fell off the lorry and crushed a car.
The male driver whose car the concrete fell on is believed to have been the only person involved.

According to traffic information company Inrix, the police are currently waiting on a recovery truck to arrive.
