The popular Makers Market in Swadlincote is returning to bring food, drink and crafts to the Derbyshire town.
The monthly market will this month land on the bank holiday weekend and will be open from 9am until 4pm on Saturday, August 26 in the high street, and has been co-organised by Curly Magpie and Friends and Swadlincote Markets.
Live entertainment will be provided throughout the day by Andy B Goode, a rock and roll singer who performed at a previous Makers Market earlier this year and was greatly received.
He will be performing a range of hits from across the years, including Chuck Berry, Elvis and Michael Bublé.
As well as the live music, the streets of Swadlincote will be decorated with stalls selling arts, crafts, food and drinks.
The weekly market held on a Saturday will still run, along with the additional stalls selling everything from homemade wines and jams to children’s clothes, knitted gifts and vintage memorabilia.
Councillor Michael Stanton, the chairman of South Derbyshire District Council, has spoken of his excitement ahead of the big day: "The Makers Market is proving a popular addition to the South Derbyshire calendar. It is attracting lots of attention thanks to the high-quality and unique goods it offers.
"Supporting local businesses is a key aim of the council and we hope people will come along and support traders from the area too."
