A Uttoxeter cat who lost his eye after being savaged by a dog has gone missing - and urgently needs medication to help him breathe.

Theo was let out by owner Donna Alkins, a 45-year-old care assistant from Westlands Road, on Sunday morning (June 3), and is yet to return.

The Alkins family are now fearing the worst for their eight-month-old moggy, who had to undergo a major operation to fix a broken jaw and remove his eye at Christmas.

Theo now suffers breathing problems and needs to regularly take decongestants in the wake of being attacked by a dog in Uttoxeter in December.

Donna, who lives with 53-year-old husband and JCB worker Stephen and their four children, said: "This is the third day he's been missing and we're all so worried. He means the world to our family.

Theo (right) has gone missing from his Uttoxeter home and needs medication to help him breathe.

"With one eye, he's obviously very distinctive and we're hoping someone spots him and helps bring him home - it's just awful not knowing what's happened to him.

"He will come to people, so we're hoping someone's come into contact with him.

"But even if someone's taken him in, we're still so worried because he's without his medication and is on a soft diet because of what's happened to him.

"Everyone at home is absolutely gutted. The kids have been out looking for him constantly."

Anyone who finds Theo is asked to take him to Glenthorne Vets, in Derby Road, Uttoxeter drop him off at 29 Westlands Road or call Donna on 07960 027132.
