A teenager will stand trial after pleading not guilty to grievous bodily harm alleged to have taken place in a Burton nightclub.

Ashton Ratcliffe, of Fairfield Crescent, Newhall, has appeared at Stafford Crown Court to answer a charge of grievous bodily harm.

The 19-year-old denies inflicting grievous bodily harm on a man in The Association, in High Street, Burton.

The incident is alleged to have taken place on August 28.

Ratcliffe is now due to attend Stafford Crown Court where he is due to stand trial in the week commencing July 9.

He answers unconditional bail until that date.
